1940 Gunbai 5 Set
Description: Not much is known about this set, but it does have a couple of nice menko of Futabayama as well as Maedayama. Surprisingly, these menko happened to have made it through World War 2! These are rare treats if you can find any!!

Front Design: This set features drawings of the rikishi in various poses. Shikona and rank appear on the menko in various places. A round makers mark also appears at the bottom of the menko, but I have been unable to decipher it at this time. Colors are nice and vivid!
Back Design: The back has a large gunbai in the middle. A war themed word appears in a tombstone shaped box in the upper right. A Gu-Choki-Pa mark appears in the bottom left and just below that is a 5 digit Fighting Number in the middle of a white box.
