1947 Kimarite 6 Set
Description: This is an interesting set as it has the shikona written in kanji as well as romaji. I imagine this is so the occupying US Forces in Japan at the time could read the rikishi's name as well. Menko are printed on extremely thin paper stock and I doubt they would make effective menko. This set has a great menko of Chiyonoyama when he was only a Maegashira. Menko came in sheet as the purchaser had to cut them out by hand.

In the center of the back is a different kimarite. Along the top are various white and black circles, possible representing part of a go board. One side of a dice is depicted along the top left and a Gu-Choki-Pa mark is opposite the dice on the right. On the bottom is a 6 digit fighting number.
