1951 Sanenchuu 5 Set
Description: This set is a nice early 1950's menko set with many of the big names at early ranks. This set had two print runs and some of the rikishi's ranks were updated on the second run, but all the other information is exactly the same including height, weight, fighting number and Gu-Choki-Pa mark. One run was printed early on in 1951 and one at the end of 1951. The menko are on nice, thick paper stock and were probably ideal menko. This set has a rare menko of the 38th Yokozuna Terukuni, 41st Yokozuna Chiyonoyama as an Ozeki, 42nd Yokozuna Kagamisato as a Sekiwake and 43rd Yokozuna Yoshibayama as an Ozeki. This also has future Yokozuna Wakanohana at the Komusubi rank! This is the earliest known menko of him! A lot of the big name Rikishi early in their careers!
