1955 Asashi Gunbai 9-10 Set

    Description:  Not much is known about this set.  Menko are printed on thick paper stock and they seem to have been all hand cut.  It has some nice menko of the popular rikishi of the time.

   Front Design:  Background on front is in green or red.  There is a flower behind all the rikishi.  Some menko have action shot, some have a kesho-mawashi shot. The action shots have a picture of the rikishi's face on them as well.

   Back Design:  Back has a simple design.  A large gunbai appears with the rikishi's shikona in the right portion of the gunbai and a Gu-Choki-Pa mark at the top of the left side.  Height and weight is also written on the left side along with the Asahi Gangu mark.  At the bottom is a 9 or 10 digit Fighting Number.  Menko backs are printed in a green ink.
