1956 Gold Trump 9 Set

Description:  This is a really interesting set from 1956.  Usually, gold menko were inserted into boxes of menko to be used as prizes when a winner menko was redeemed.  This set, however, is entirely made of gold menko and seems to be a regular issue and not prizes.  Menko came in sheets so children had to cut them apart to get individual menko.  Consequently, most menko you'll see have jagged edges and uneven cuts.  Most of the typical rikishi of the time appear in this set.
