Chiyonoyama1956 Kagome Sensou Trump 7-8 Set
Description: These menko came in sheets of 40 menko and children had to cut the menko apart themselves. Believe it or not, most menko on the market are in very good condition with nice, sharp corners and straight edges. These menko have good coloring and are on nice, heavy paper stock. There are around 15 unique fronts with most of these fronts having two or more different backs resulting in some rare front/back combinations. A typical set of the late 1950s with the 4 Yokozuna and other popular Rikishi of the time. This set has Maegashira Takanishiki which is a rare menko of him since he never made it out of the low Maegashira ranks. He was only in sumo's top division for less than two years so very few companies even bothered printing a menko of him. This set is very similar to the 1956 Kagome Caricature Trump 7-8 Set.

Front Design: Most of the menko show the Rikishi in various poses with some sort of action shot in the background, a portrait shot in the background or along with another Rikishi.
Back Design: The backs of these menko have a war there along with a corresponding pip from a deck of playing cards. The Gu-Choki-Pa symbol is in the same box as the war drawing and the 7 or 8 digit Fighting Numbers are at the bottom. Backs are printed in either a blue/green ink or black ink with the black ink variation extremely hard to find.
