1956 Marukami Hoshi 6 Set

    Description:  This is the color version of the 1956 Marukami Hoshi Bromide 6 Set and this set is easier to find on the market than it's B/W counterpart.  This is a nice set in the fact that is show the rikishi's kesho-mawashi in nice detail and color.  Four versions of the back exist: grey back, tan back, grey blank and tan blank.  It has quite a few top ranked rikishi of the time as well as some nice action shots.

   Front Design:  Rikishi are standing in their kesho-mawashi.  Shikona is printed vertically at the top along with a height, weight, heya and birthplace info on the opposite site.  Background is typically a solid color in yellow, red, green or blue. 

   Back Design:  A star design is in the center of the menko witha Gu-Choki-Pa mark in the middle of the star.  A military term is written along the top along with a 6 digit Fighting Number on the bottom.
