Description: A nice set from between the 1955 Aki basho and the 1956 Hatsu basho because of the mix in ranks between the two basho. This isn't unusual as it was difficult for companies to keep up with the ever changing banzuke. This is also a nice set because all the menko show the rikishi in the kesho-mawashis. The menko are on heavy paper stock and some have a gloss finish on the front. Maruta used grey and dark tan paper stock for these menko
