1956 Sanenchuu Slant 10 Set

    Description:  Menko were bundled together and then sold in boxes to Dagashiya.  Kids could purchase packs of these cards for a few yen.  Most menko on the market are in very good condition with nice, sharp corners and straight edges.  These menko have good coloring and are on nice, heavy paper stock.  A typical set of the mid 1950s.

   Front Design:  Most of the menko show the Rikishi in various poses on a solid color background. 

   Back Design:  The Rikishi's shikona appears vertically under a Gu-Choki-Pa which is at the top of the middle column.  The Rikishi's rank appears at the top and the age and height/weight info are in both columns next to the name.  The Fighting Numbers are at the bottom.
