Description: This is a nice set from 1956 and quite common on the market today. Many cards that survive today from this set have glue residue on the back. Menko with this residue were part of a prize sheet that could be won if a winner stamped menko was redeemed. Menko backs also came in a blank version.

Front Design: Most of the menko show the rikishi in various poses or action shots against a solid color background. Some cards have the rikishi shown on a dohyo as well. The Rikishi's shikona appears vertically in a thin kanji style format.
Back Design: The rikishi's name appears on the back in the middle. In the left and right column are the rikishi's stats. The Gu-Choki-Pa appears in the top, center of the card surrounded by sagari-like images. There is a 7 digit fighting number at the bottom of the menko.
