1958 Hokyoku 10 Set
Description: This is a really interesting menko set. Probably the best set that I know of in 1958. I can't tell if the arctic scenes are the main side of the menko or if the Rikishi are the main theme. Probably the former since that side is in color and they printed the menko on the backside as a filler. The main side shows different scenes from a Japanese artic expedition and are quite neat. This is a very unusual combination for a menko set. The sumo side has many of the top Rikishi from the end of 1958. This has a great early menko of Maegashira Wakachichibu and one of Yokozuna Chiyonoyama's last menko.
