1959 Kita Gunbai 6-7 Set

    Description:  This is a nice late 1950's set.  It has the three Yokozuna of the time and many other popular Rikishi of the era.  This set also has the only labeled Wakanohana /Asashio duel card that I know of!  These menko came in sheets in which the kids had to cut the menko apart themselves.  Consequently, most of the menko from this set have eneven borders.

   Front Design:  Most of the menko show the Rikishi in standing poses or in action on solid colored backgrounds.  Shikona is on the front.

   Back Design:  Rikishi's statistics are on the back in in the middle of the menko.  This info has height, weight, heya, birthplace and real name.  There is a gunbai on the middle top with the Rikishi's Shikona inside.  Gu Choki Pa is to the left of this and a 6 or 7 digit Fighting Number is on the bottom.
