1962 Hoshi Anime 7-8-9 Set

    Description:  Another unique set in the fact that it depicts scenes from an anime cartoon on the back.  I am not sure which cartoon it is, but probably a popular one from 1962.  All the menko I have seen from this set are handcut so I am not sure that they were issued any other way.  A very simple design all around and somewhat difficult to find on the market today.

   Front Design:  Color photo of the rikishi in various action shots during a bout of a close up.  Shikona is written in various ways across the front of the menko in different colors.

   Back Design:  A scene from an anime or manga on the upper part of the back.  Gu-Choki-Pa is in the lower right with a war themed word to the left of it. A 7, 8 or 9 digit Fighting Number is along the bottom.  Printed in a blue ink.
